New Milford’s Merryall Center for the Arts ( www.merryallcenter.org) will present the final event of the season, a curated tag sale and appraisal event, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“This is not your typical tag sale,” said Eileen P. Monaghan, center co-president.
After a successful first year, Merryall has expanded its curated tag sale, which is combined with an art/antiques appraisal fair.
Tag sale items have been carefully selected to reflect style and taste. No kitchen gadgets or clothing will be included.
Guests will have an opportunity to learn the value of unusual items from experts, who will provide informal evaluations of art and antiques, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Appraisals will cost $15 for the first item and $10 for each additional item.
To pre-register for the appraisals, visit www.MerryallCenter.org; or bring items to the door.
Tag sale items will be accepted for donation or consignment Oct. 20 from 1 to 7 p.m. or by appointment by emailing info@MerryallCenter.org.
Proceeds from consigned items will be split between the seller (60 percent) and Merryall (40 percent).
Arrangements can be made to pick up large items.
Donated items will be half price between 4 and 5 p.m.
The seller is responsible to remove consignment items that do not sell; a donation tax form will be provided.
The center is located at 8 Chapel Hill Road. For more information, visit the website.
