Rain started to fall around noon in western Connecticut and continued through the afternoon and into the evening Thursday.
In the last three weeks, heavy rain has flooded local streets and major highways twice.

The following crashes are not necessarily all weather-related, but fender-benders typically increase when the roads are slick.

STAMFORD — A disabled tractor trailer on Interstate 95 north between Exits 8 and 9 has the right lane closed.

HADDAM — Route 81 is closed between Pokorny Road and Bartman Road because of a two-car crash.

TRUMBULL — A two-car crash on Route 15 north between Exits 48 and 49S has the left lane closed.

BRIDGEPORT - I-95 Northbound is congested 1.9 miles between Exits 25 and 27A. Two lanes remain closed.
