Live Well, a free, six-week, self-help workshop, will be offered at several locations in the region in the coming weeks.
The program is designed for people with ongoing health conditions to learn how to better manage their health and enhance their quality of life.
The workshop will provide opportunities for group interaction, problem solving and different activities each week that teach participants better ways of dealing with pain and fatigue, easy exercises to help you maintain strength and energy, the benefits of proper nutrition, ways to talk effectively with family, friends and health professionals, and more.
The workshop will be offered Mondays March 11 through April 15 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Sullivan Senior Center, 88 East Albert St., Torrington; Mondays April 15 through May 22 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Jewish Federation, 444 Main St. North, Southbury; Wednesdays April 17 through May 22 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the Danbury Senior Center, 10 Elmwood Place, Danbury; Tuesdays April 16 through May 2 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the VNS Services of Connecticut, 65 Commercial Boulevard, Torrington; and Thursdays May 9 through June 13 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, 540 Litchfield St., Torrington.
